A Compromising Position by Carole Matthews.

It is a novel about a schoolteacher, whose boyfriend, after remortgaging their house behind her back, puts her naked photo on the Internet in an attempt to make money and save his failing business. The newspapers pick up the story and blow it out of proportion. Suddenly, her picture goes from the Internet and into the national newspapers and everyone has seen it. She looses her job and her house gets repossessed. At the end she has no choice really than to cash on her fame and she does another photo shoot, this time with a professional and for £200 000 payment. She also falls in love again and forgets the guy, who betrayed her.

I quite enjoyed reading this book. It has quite an unusual initial set up and I was a bit surprised with the main heroine’s choices, although they seem logical if you look at it that way. In general it is a light and entertaining read, perfect for a holiday or at bath time.
