Well, I am back. I enjoyed the trip a lot. We went again to the same place in Corralejo Fuerteventura, third time in the row (yes, I know we are not very adventures lol). They gave us even bigger free upgreat this time. Also this time we bit the bullet and paid for “extra”/normal seats (seating with your knees to the chin on previous trip was too claustrophobic even for a small person like me). And we chose a different company this time, which also turned out to be a bit better than the one we used previously.
Corralejo built a new walking street by the ocean with the
water on one side and the cafes and bars on the other. Very nice, but no safety
barrier yet. A child or a drunken person can so fall on those stones below.
Other streets are getting prettier too with more plants and decorative
features. On the other hand, there are plenty of abandoned constrictions and so
many dark windows in houses and apartments that it looks a bit scary. The
airport in Fuerteventura has been improved as well. It became more comfortable
and democratic: better and more affordable food and a children’s playground in
the middle.
We went to a beach called Blue Flag beach for the first time. It was surprisingly fantastic. I have never seen such a clean water and beach before. The water is such a beautiful turquoise colour that it looks like in a good holiday brochure, but without the photoshop.
Most other days we spent by the pool. I noticed that now
when many women don’t wear anything on the top half of the body and have short hair
and many males easily have breasts of a size of B cap, looking from the other
end of the pool with my slight myopia, I cant tell males from women.
We have got surprisingly good tan and haven’t burned once. I
guess we are learning lol. I think it also helped that we used hotel’s free spa
everyday. On a previous trip I discovered that they put some kind of minerals
or something in their babbling bath and it heals the skin and sets the tan if
one sits in it once a day. So we did this time at the end of everyday on the
top of using our regular sunprotection and never had a painful skin on this
holiday. I wander what they put in that water. I was thinking of asking the
attendant about it, but she didn’t know English and I don’t speak Spanish.
Overall, we had a great time.
I've never seen the sea so blue!
