I have made these pretty holidays tree decorations using see-through plastic and glass paints:
To make them, I recycled plastic packaging box that this sticky tape dispenser were sold in:

While I was feeling crafty this week, I went ahead and also painted the shelves in my office/craft room.

In the past I made gel candles, this time I had a go at making paraffin candles with rose fragrance. And they do smell of rose, when they burn.
I used the same moulds as for soap:
Not so even looking hand dipped candles:
I had a go at making soap and it turned out really good – very soapy and smells nice.
Turquoise with glitter and passionfruit fragrance:

One of my goals this year is to try to learn to make clothes. No particular reason. I just like to be able to and I enjoy creating things or researching stuff, especially stuff I can use.
With my tendency for perfectionism and overachieving, I didn't choose the easy way. Instead, I started from learning making individual patterns for perfectly tailored clothes. I bought cheep fabric in local Ikea to kill in experiments.
My first experiment is making a skirt:
My attempts to create an individual pattern paid of to some extend. It fits like a glove when I am standing up – not a single crease or bubble on fabric anywhere. But I cant seat in it. So I will have to make some changes to the pattern and try again. And I do need more practice sewing the sipper in. I guess, learning curve was to be expected.

I am trying a new craft - making candles. Today I was making gel candles. It was easier than I expected. I placed the wicks in glasses and decorated glasses with some shells I picked up on holidays as keepsakes and sand. Then I melted the gel, coloured it purple, and poured a scent of wild rose into it. Smells really nice. Then when it was all melted and mixed, I poured it into the glasses. It cooled and became solid very quickly.
The wicks are made of waxed cotton weaved around metal (zinc) wire core. They are supposed burn long time and go well with gel candles.
This is an old book I cut out and made into an art piece recently. Then I attached a hanger to the back of it and have hung it on a wall.
